What is pest control?

Pest control is the process by which pests are removed from your home or business through fumigation, barrier installation and baiting. These various services can combine to create long-lasting solutions for your pest control needs whether you are dealing with pests at home or at a commercial property. Treatments for the right pest control program can vary based on the kinds of pests you are dealing with and the arrangement of your property.

Will I need to prepare for fumigation?

You will not have to prepare in most cases for your fumigation services. The only times that you will have to prepare will be in cases where interior work might impact your furniture or other items. This is not a common need but having an inspection can help you to know if you need to prepare for your pest treatment services in advance. Our team can advise about the best ways to prepare for the services that you are going to have done on your property.

Can I stay on the property during treatment?

In most cases you can stay on property during treatment. You might be advised to leave if you are pregnant or if there are children in the home you might want to head out to have some fun during the actual service. You might need to leave for a couple of hours while we work and then you should be able to come back.

How much do pest control services cost?

The answer to this can depend on what services are needed. You might only need to pay $100 for something like flea treatment services but you could spend as much as $250 for a visit to treat for other pests in a large residential home. Commercial buildings can be two or three times as high due to the size of the area that will need to be treated. You will need to get a quote to find out what your costs will be for your extermination needs.

Are these services safe for kids and pets?

Your pets and kids might need to be taken off the property for a few hours while treatment is being done, but you could potentially stay in your home as most of the work is being done outside the home. The products that we use for treatments are 100% safe and leaving the property would be more for your benefit to avoid noise and activity rather than to avoid products that are in use during the service.

Can you provide preventative services?

Things like barriers can help to prevent termites and other pests from getting into your home. Baiting can also help control pests and kill them at their nesting sites. There are maintenance plans that can take care of your annual pest control needs with ease to prevent frequent fumigation services.

Can I prevent pests?

You can prevent pests from infesting your home or business by making sure you keep your home and yard free of clutter and trash. Make sure that you do not lean wood against the walls or foundation of your home. You should also be sure that your ventilation is never blocked in any way.
